Digitizing the fight against HIV: IMPACT on WBEZ
WBEZ reports on IMPACT’s Keep It Up! Project.
[LISTEN]
Keep It Up! is a tech-savvy, innovative, prevention project designed to connect with young gay/bisexual men in a way that is interesting, engaging, and entertaining–while still educational and factual. The HIV prevention intervention was developed by the IMPACT Program in partnership with community-based organizations, including Center on Halsted and Howard Brown Health Center. Keep It Up! consists of several different modules–soap opera style story lines and even a virtual reality nightclub game, the most popular of the modules. Our very own Dr. Brian Mustanski discusses the project and the significant reductions in risk behaviors of the young men involved with Keep It Up!.
