Proud to be a ‘Leader in LGBT Healthcare’

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation has recognized Northwestern Memorial as a “Leader in LGBT Healthcare” for demonstrating a commitment to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender patient-centered care. The hospital achieved the designation for successfully meeting key criteria for equitable care in the organization’s Healthcare Equality Index survey, including non-discrimination policies for LGBT patients and employees, equal visitation for same-sex partners and parents, and LGBT health education for staff.
